ELECTIONS 2024-25
SWE Toronto is happy to announce that our election for board members for the year 2024-25 has begun. The nomination process is open from May 8 to May 22. To nominate yourself or someone else, fill out the nomination form available on our website linked below. Voting will begin on June 5 and end on June 19.
Volunteering on the SWE Toronto Board of Directors is a great opportunity to:
- Develop leadership skills
- Manage a team of volunteers
- Network with amazing women in engineering in the GTA
- Gain Board experience
- Make new friends

How do you run for a board position?
According to our bylaws, to become a member of the board you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be nominated by a board member or endorsed by three SWE Toronto members (SWEsters)
2. Have volunteered with SWE and be known to the board
3. Have work experience or a degree/certificate in a STEM field
Men are eligible to run for every role except for President-Elect.
