Our current openings include:
UNIVERSITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Are you a recent alumni or an undergraduate student in your final year? We are looking for Liaisons to join the University Outreach Committee and facilitate connections between their universities and the SWE Toronto Professional Affiliate. If you enjoy networking and communicating with others, and have knowledge on programs, societies, clubs, and initiatives in your university community, this role could be a great fit.
The goal of the University Outreach Committee is to connect graduating engineers with the Professional Affiliate so that they have a community once they enter the engineering workforce. We achieve this goal by partnering with on-campus Women in Engineering (WiE) and Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) clubs to deliver quality events for students, attending and promoting SWE at career fairs, and inviting university students to our SWE Speaks and Coffee Club events.
Our Communications Committee is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to assist with our Eventbrite platform. This role requires editing, updating and publishing event information. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is creative, has a keen eye for detail and has a solid grasp of analytics and data. This person should be passionate about building community, enthusiastic about networking, and actively engaged regarding STEM related/gender related/workplace related topics.
The goal of the Communications Committee is to enhance outreach through the use of several communication and marketing strategies. Core focus includes audience engagement on social media platforms, timely schedule of online activities, email invites, maintaining mailing list, maintenance and content organization for Newsletter and Blog, visual appeal of Eventbrite, and content update and maintenance of SWE Toronto website
