Our current openings include:

The Major Event Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of organizing our larger events (ex: for National Engineering Month or International Women in Engineering Day). The role can include liaising with speakers, coordinating drop-in volunteers, organizing venues, confirming topics and dates, and moderating events.
DAY-OF EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Do you enjoy executing events and meeting new people? We are looking for day-of volunteers for our SWE Speaks events. Day-of volunteers will be responsible for signing guests in and out, directing attendees to the appropriate facilities and making sure attendees feel welcome in the SWE community. Attending the events is an added bonus.
Do you identify as a planner with a capital P? We are looking for an enthusiastic event coordinator to join our Programs team. The Event Coordinator will brainstorm ideas for events, coordinate logistics, and interface with speakers. This role will work directly with the Programs and Partners Directors and is perfect for someone looking to make their mark on SWE Toronto.
COFFEE CLUB FACILITATOR
We are looking for a Coffee Club facilitator for our monthly Coffee Club, which occurs on the last Saturday of every month. This role will include prepping topics and discussion questions in advance, facilitating discussion during the event, and creating post-event write-ups. This role will work directly with the Programs Directors.
We are looking for a venue coordinator to assist the Outreach team in finding venues for upcoming SWE Toronto events. This role can include reaching out to venues for availability and interest, meeting with venue owners, and visiting potential venues to take photos.

As an Ambassador, you will promote the SWE Toronto brand and programs, recruit SWE members, and initiate potential collaborations with community groups, professional organizations, businesses, and media. To initiate potential collaborations, you will attend engineering professional development events in the Toronto area; this will be a key role for SWE Toronto to grow and great for personal development. We are looking for someone who is passionate about partnerships and who is a motivated connector to promote SWE Toronto!
